Why does Zappos even offer expedited shipping? I have ordered items from them at least 8 or 9 times and my shipping has been automatically upgraded every time. The first or second time I thought it was really special. By #3 or #4 I was starting to get suspicious. Now I expect it to happen, and I get the feeling I may be frustrated if it doesn’t happen with a future order. That would be the wrong response because I did choose normal shipping during the order, but the expectation for the “magic wand” treatment has been set so many times already. It is a nice perk to have when buying from Zappos, but it could backfire on them if they ever decide to retire the “magic wand”.
